Course description

Overview: Students will learn to plan and design a Microsoft Systems Management Server 2.0 site,

perform site installations, create a site hierarchy and establish communication between sites, install

clients, troubleshoot problems, and trace tasks. This course meets the Microsoft Proficiency Guidelines

for Microsoft Systems Management Server 2.0 at the Expert level.

Prerequisites: Element K courses 44-532 Windows NT 4.0: System Administration, 44-531 Windows

NT 4.0: System Architecture and Network Support, 44-716 Implementing and Supporting TCP/IP on

Windows NT 4.0, and successful completion of course 77-525, SMS 2.0: Administration, or equivalent

knowledge.

Delivery method: Instructor-led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured handson

activities.

Benefits: Students will learn how to implement and support SMS 2.0 in a Windows NT 4.0

environment.

Target student: Students enrolling in this course should understand Windows NT 4.0 administration.

This course is designed for students who are currently using Microsoft Systems Management Server 2.0

in their Windows NT networks, or who need to install, configure, and support SMS 2.0 in their
